Muller qualifies for Rio quarter-finals

Alexandre Muller put in another fine performance at the ATP 500 in Rio.

After eliminating Joao Fonseca in the first round, he beat Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the second round to qualify for the quarter-finals.

The Frenchman won 7-5, 7-6, in a very tight match in which the Argentine even served for the set in the first set.

He is currently ranked 54th in the world, his highest position. He will face Francisco Cerundolo in the quarter-finals.
