Murray: "There's a lot of misunderstanding about Djokovic".
Andy Murray is about to say goodbye.
At the end of a final Olympic tournament, in which he will only play doubles, Murray will put an end to a legendary career that has seen him reach the summits alongside Djokovic, Nadal and Federer.
The big four are slowly but surely leaving.
Agreeing to answer questions from the BBC, the Scot took the opportunity to return to the subject of Novak Djokovic.
Paying glowing tribute to the Serb, the former world No. 1 was keen to restore the reputation of the current world No. 2: "There's a misconception about Djokovic.
Of course, Nadal and Federer have been much loved by tennis fans, but Novak is hugely respected by the sporting world as a whole.
So yes, he hasn't always had as much support as Rafa and Roger, but that doesn't bother him; we know it almost motivates him.
What Novak has achieved in terms of performance is unique and sports lovers have respect for that achievement."
