Musetti blunt on Alcaraz: "It still happens to him... Sinner, never"
Lorenzo Musetti had the best season of his career, breaking into the top 10 during the clay court tour with a final in Monte-Carlo, followed by three consecutive semi-finals in Madrid, Rome, and Roland-Garros.
Although this period of success was followed by a few difficult weeks, the Italian managed to bounce back in New York with a quarter-final, before finally qualifying for the Masters thanks to Novak Djokovic's withdrawal.
A year during which the Italian faced the two current monsters of the tour: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, losing four times against the Spaniard and once against his compatriot.
In an interview with Eurosport, the world number 8 discussed the slight difference that seems to exist for now between the two young champions:
"Sinner has shown that it's very difficult, if not impossible, for him to lose against an opponent who is inferior to him. On the other hand, it happens to Alcaraz, like in the first round in Paris, where he fell to Cameron Norrie. That was unexpected."
