"An Obsession with Perfection": Vagnozzi's Words That Sum Up Sinner's Monstrous Season
In 2025, Jannik Sinner had a magnificent season: out of 12 tournaments played, he reached 10 finals, won six titles — including the Australian Open and Wimbledon — and fought for the world No. 1 spot, despite a three-month suspension for negligence between February and May.
His season ended with a second consecutive triumph at the ATP Finals against his rival Carlos Alcaraz. A few days after this title, his co-coach Simone Vagnozzi gave his assessment on Instagram:
"The perfect epilogue to an extraordinary season. A year full of success, but also complicated, with difficult moments… where the difference is made by those small, sometimes imperceptible details.
The truth is that in the toughest moments, this team bonds even more. Everyone gives a part of themselves to come out stronger, driven by this obsession with perfection, even when it seems impossible.
Congratulations to Jannik, who is never satisfied with what he has achieved and always seeks to improve. A great athlete and a great man. Thank you Jannik and thank you to the whole team."
