My mother scolds me every time," Alcaraz reveals one of his passions outside of tennis
In an interview with the Financial Times, Alcaraz opened up a bit more about his private life. Throughout the conversation, he didn’t hesitate to discuss his relationship with his parents as well as one of his passions outside the tour.
Born in the working-class neighborhood of El Palmar in the Murcia region of Spain, the 22-year-old player has stayed true to his roots and still lives in the family apartment, where he shares his daily life with his parents and brothers.
"For now, I still live with my parents in the same house as usual. Since I travel a lot, I don’t see them often, so when I’m home, I like to make the most of it."
When it comes to his hobbies, the Spaniard shared one of the things he loves to do most when he’s not on a tennis court:
"I’m a real sneaker fanatic. I love them. And I’ve run out of space at home. My mother scolds me because I come back from every tournament with new pairs. She always tells me: 'No, don’t bring any more, I have no room left to store them.'
