My parents always advised me to avoid social media and my phone," says Fonseca
In an interview with The Guardian, Joao Fonseca admitted he no longer uses social media much and prefers spending time in nature to recharge.
He says: "Both my parents always encouraged me to go outside, to avoid social media and mobile phones.
We have a house in the mountains, surrounded by nature, and we used to bike and play football a lot. I loved going there with my brothers and friends, just to play sports.
It was really good for my maturity, learning responsibility, not being on the phone too much. I know my generation is very phone-obsessed, so it helped me.
I do like spending time on my phone, of course, but I’m not as into social media anymore. I know when I can be on my phone and when I shouldn’t.
