Nadal: "I am 100% sure of playing Indian Wells."
Rafael Nadal has fallen behind in preparing for his return to competition. Although he had initially planned it for Doha (from February 19 to 24), the Spaniard had to postpone his return to the circuit.
However, the former world No. 1 was optimistic about the upcoming weeks. He expressed great confidence in his ability to first participate in an exhibition with Carlos Alcaraz scheduled for March 3, then the Masters 1000 at Indian Wells (from March 6 to 17).
Nadal: "I'm going to continue working to be ready for the Las Vegas exhibition (...)
I am 100% sure of being at Indian Wells. I don't know if it will be the last time I'll play there, so I want to be at Indian Wells, that's for sure."
"I have felt some discomfort in recent weeks and I am somewhat limited (to playing).
At this point, each setback I endure, each injury, is a blow not only to my tennis and physical condition, but also mental."
