Nadal: "I can't spend my days wondering if this is my last tournament"

Inevitably, the question of Rafael Nadal's possible retirement is being raised more insistently after his defeat by Novak Djokovic in the second round of the Olympic Games (6-1, 6-4). But the Spaniard doesn't want to ask the question just yet.
He is still competing in doubles alongside Carlos Alcaraz on the clay courts of Roland Garros. He wants to concentrate above all on his tournament and his medal objective with his young compatriot.
Rafael Nadal: "I can't ask myself all day if this is my farewell tournament in Paris. I've just come back from two very difficult years with a lot of physical problems. I haven't been able to have any continuity.
I've given myself a little extra time to see if I can recover, but I can't spend all day every day wondering if it's over or not."
