New Withdrawal for Muchova, Wrist Injury in Rome
Karolina Muchova hasn't played since the end of March. Sick at the start of the WTA 1000 in Madrid, the Czech also withdrew from the Rome tournament this Thursday.
Following a wrist injury, the world number 13, who was set to face Lucia Bronzetti, has withdrawn from the Italian tournament. Last year, a surgery on her right wrist forced her to miss the clay court season.
Therefore, she might head to Roland-Garros without preparation, where she reached the final in 2023. She will be replaced in the Rome draw by Laura Siegemund.
