Next Gen ATP Finals: Blockx Continues His Flawless Run and Heads to the Final in Jeddah
Dominant since the start of the competition in Jeddah, Alexander Blockx entered the semifinals of the Next Gen ATP Finals as the favorite against Nicolai Budkov Kjaer.
The young Belgian had finished at the top of his group, while Budkov Kjaer had placed second in his group thanks to the difference in sets won.
A final against Tien or Basavareddy
Solid and offensive, Blockx dominated the Norwegian in three tight sets (4-3, 4-3, 4-2), relying particularly on 27 winners and 10 aces, to conclude the match in 1 hour and 22 minutes of play.
Still undefeated in the tournament, the 20-year-old player will attempt to secure the title tomorrow against Learner Tien or Nishesh Basavareddy.
