Nick Kyrgios is back: see you in Brisbane in 2026
More than nine months after his last official competitive match, Nick Kyrgios is set to make his comeback at the ATP 250 in Brisbane (January 5-11, 2026).
The tournament announced on social media that it has awarded a wild card to the 2022 Wimbledon finalist.
A second consecutive participation in Brisbane
Last year, this was already the event he chose to return to the courts after a year and a half of absence.
But far from being physically ready and still bothered by his wrist, Kyrgios was eliminated by Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (7-6, 6-7, 7-6). He also played two doubles matches with Novak Djokovic.
Having fallen to 673rd in the world rankings, the 30-year-old Australian recently hinted that retirement was among his options.
