Noskova received numerous insulting messages on Instagram after her defeat in Abu Dhabi

This Friday afternoon, Linda Noskova missed out on the final of the WTA 500 tournament in Abu Dhabi.

The Czech, ranked 39th in the world at the start of the week, lost to Ashlyn Krueger (7-6, 6-4), and it is the American who will face Belinda Bencic in the final on Saturday.

Moments after her defeat, Noskova, 20, confirmed that she had received numerous insulting messages on Instagram.

Hateful messages, presumably from people who had lost their sports bets, about rape, death and other equally horrible things.

On this same social network, the Australian Open 2024 quarter-finalist published a video montage with screenshots of all the messages she received, and preferred to handle irony with a caption: "Should I make this a tradition?"

Linda Noskova, who has entered the main draw of the Doha Masters 1000, will face number 15 seed Donna Vekic when she makes her Qatar debut in the coming days.
