Novak Djokovic's record-breakers for 2025
In a few days' time, Novak Djokovic will begin his 23rd season on the professional circuit.
The Serb's legendary career will take a new turn with the arrival of Andy Murray, one of his former rivals, as coach from the Australian Open onwards.
Although Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz dominated 2024 by sharing the Grand Slams, Djokovic will have the opportunity to add new records to his palmares.
The first is not a record in itself, but it is nonetheless symbolic: if he were to win a tournament in 2025, he would reach the milestone of 100 career titles. A figure that has only been reached and surpassed by Roger Federer (103) and Jimmy Connors (109).
Another Grand Slam title would take Djokovic's career total to 25 major tournaments. He would thus surpass the record set by Margaret Court over fifty years ago.
With a fourth triumph on the clay of Roland Garros, the former world No.1 would be the only player to have won every Grand Slam on at least four occasions (10 Australian Opens, 7 Wimbledons and 4 US Opens).
He could also equal Roger Federer's record for Wimbledon victories (8), having missed out on this opportunity twice in the final against Carlos Alcaraz in the last two seasons.
Finally, the Belgrade native could complete the Golden Masters for the third time in his career if he were to win in Monte-Carlo next April.
Djokovic has won every Masters 1000 at least three times, with the exception of the tournament in Monaco.
He is also the only player to have achieved this feat twice in his career.
