Mira Andreeva and Diana Shnaider were one of the surprises of the Olympic tournament, winning the silver medal after being beaten by the Errani / Paolini pair in the final.
An unexpected result that convinced them to team up for the year 2025, as Shnaider announced for the Forbes Russia media:
"Next year, Mirra and I have decided to play the Grand Slams together as well as the WTA 1000."
The two players, ranked 16th and 13th in the world respectively, have achieved their best singles results this year, with Andreeva reaching the semi-finals at Roland Garros and Shnaider winning titles in Bad Homburg, Hong Kong and Budapest.
A promising doubles partnership between these two young talents on the WTA Tour.
