Known for his spectacular and flamboyant tennis, Dustin Brown retired last season at the age of 39 due to recurring back problems.
He made headlines in 2015 by defeating Rafael Nadal in the second round at Wimbledon, giving a grass-court tennis lesson to the Majorcan (7-5, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4). He is also one of the few players to lead (2-0) in head-to-head matches against the Spanish legend, with the other victory taking place in Halle in 2014.
Quiet since the end of his career, the German and former world No. 64 has now become a father to a baby girl, as he announced on his Instagram account yesterday: "Welcome, Naomi Brown. March 6, 2025."
