Opelka calls Djokovic the GOAT: "He always finds a way out".
Reilly Opelka beat Novak Djokovic in Brisbane last week in the quarter-finals and could meet the Serb again in the 3rd round of the Australian Open.
The American spoke to Bounces about Djokovic, his favorite player in the Big 3, whom he considers to be the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) of tennis:
"I understand he's not the fan favorite. But you always have a LeBron (James) - Michael Jordan debate, in tennis it's as simple as can be with this guy.
He played during Roger and Rafa's best periods. I get it: he shot Bambi, you could say that. But he's really cool, he's great.
And he's the only player who's interfered during the glory days of two other great players. There are no figures to say otherwise.
At the Olympic Games, I watched him a lot. Even with a bad knee or something, the harder you work on him, the more he finds a way out."
