Panatta: "I saw a more human Sinner, because his parents were there, and even his girlfriend"
Adriano Panatta, a former Italian tennis star, reflected on Jannik Sinner's victory over Alexander Zverev in the final of the ATP 500 in Vienna (3-6, 6-3, 7-5).
As a guest on the set of the program "La Domenica Sportiva," Panatta stated:
"I saw him in difficulty. He didn't start well, losing the first set, but then he pulled through. Afterwards, I saw him as more human, because his parents, his friends, and even his girlfriend were there, to whom he said a word at the end."
But the 74-year-old man didn't stop there. He also gave a clear assessment of the state of the ATP tour:
"Sinner and Alcaraz are untouchable at the moment. Opponents never beat Jannik. And, as for the Spaniard, he can lose, because he is a bit more unpredictable. Nevertheless, he remains very solid most of the time."
As the season draws to a close, the two players could potentially meet in the final of the Paris Masters 1000 this week.
