Paolini also in the women's doubles final at Roland-Garros!
Everything seems to be going Jasmine Paolini's way at this 2024 edition of Roland-Garros. While she will play the singles final this Saturday against Iga Swiatek, the Italian will also contest the women's doubles final on Sunday.
Together with her compatriot Sara Errani, a finalist in the women's singles in 2012, they dominated Marta Kostyuk and Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the semi-finals (1-6, 6-4, 6-1). They will now face Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova for the title.
She could therefore achieve the double (victory in singles and doubles), imitating Barbora Krejcikova who is the last player to have achieved this feat. That was in 2021, which was also the last year in which Swiatek did not lift the trophy.
