Paolini beats Kudermetova and advances to the quarterfinals in Ningbo

Jasmine Paolini, the number 2 seed at the Ningbo WTA 500, qualified for the tournament's quarterfinals this Thursday by defeating Veronika Kudermetova.

However, the match started poorly for the Italian, who was broken right away. But she quickly regrouped to get back into the game and take a 4-1 lead. She broke her opponent once again to win the first set 6-2.

The second set was tighter between the two players. Kudermetova broke in the fifth game, but immediately gave the break back to Paolini. Ultimately, the Italian prevailed by breaking the Russian's serve at 6-5 and converting her only match point.

Paolini will face Belinda Bencic in the next round.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
