Paolini confirms his superb Grand Slam season

Jasmine Paolini qualified for the last 16 of the US Open on Saturday by dominating Yulia Putintseva. The world n°5 won in an hour and a half (6-3, 6-4) on the Louis Armstrong Stadium.

The Italian thus confirms her change of dimension in Grand Slam tournaments this year. Having never progressed beyond the second round before the start of the season, she has now reached the last 16 in each of the 4 major tournaments in 2024. She even reached the final at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

On Monday, she will face Karolina Muchova in a bid to reach the quarter-finals in New York.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
