Since her unthinkable title win in 2021, the British nugget simply hasn't won a match at Flushing Meadows.

Beaten by Kenin in the first round (6-1, 3-6, 6-4), Raducanu appeared at the press conference with an emotional expression on her face.

In tears, she declared: "I feel down, I feel sad.

I would have preferred to play a bit more before the US Open.
