Video - Paolini and Andreescu shake hands at the US Open
It's the kind of image we love to see.
At the end of a very high-level match lasting just under 3 hours, Jasmine Paolini, irresistible this season and already a two-time Major finalist, came through her first round trap perfectly against Bianca Andreescu, the 2019 US Open champion (6-7, 6-2, 6-4).

Far from scowling as they shook hands, the two players came to the net all smiles and even indulged in an unusual exchange in which the Canadian asked the Italian to let her win (see video below).
