Paul: "I stopped my season after the US Open... and it's not so bad!"
Injured in the foot, Tommy Paul had to prematurely end his 2025 season. He hasn't played since August 31st at the US Open and his defeat against Alexander Bublik in the third round.
In comments relayed by Tennisuptodate, he discussed the schedule by citing his own example and his early stop: "As tennis players, we always complain that the season is too long and that the tour should stop after the US Open, and that's pretty much what I did. But believe me, it's not so bad!
Most other sports do an excellent job of giving their athletes time to build muscle and prepare for a grueling season. These past few weeks, these past few months have been really beneficial in that regard.
I feel like I've managed to establish a good routine, and I want to be able to go to Australia and feel good throughout the year."
