Rybakina Explains Her Choice Not to Pose with the WTA CEO
Portia Archer, the WTA Chairwoman, had to pose with Aryna Sabalenka alone during the trophy ceremony. Elena Rybakina chose to decline appearing in photos with her.
While many people associate this choice with the past suspension of her coach Stefano Vukov for inappropriate behavior, this question was put to the Kazakh player in a press conference.

A journalist asked her if she had had discussions with the WTA to clarify the situation and received a relatively evasive statement: "We had the opportunity to have conversations, but in the end it never happened, so we are all doing our job and I think we will continue like that."
