Qinwen Zheng on her upcoming match against Iga Swiatek: "We will fight"
Qinwen Zheng and Iga Swiatek will face off this Thursday for a spot in the semifinals of the Indian Wells tournament.
A rematch of the semifinal from the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Chinese player hopes to deliver a great battle against the Polish star:
"Both of us will give our best. She has won her first three matches here at Indian Wells very easily.
She is in good form. The same goes for me. We will fight. Let's see what happens."
After defeating Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk without difficulty (6-3, 6-2), Zheng hopes to overcome the world number two.
Their last encounter dates back to August, in the semifinals of the Olympics as mentioned earlier. To everyone's surprise, the Chinese player had defeated the Pole (6-2, 7-5).
