Raducanu Enlists Former Nadal Coach

At 22 years old, Emma Raducanu has already worked with numerous coaches and still hasn’t found the stability that would allow her to return to the top of the rankings.

This Monday, August 4, the Daily Mail revealed that the British player, winner of the 2021 US Open, will begin working with Francisco Roig starting at the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati.

Roig, 57, worked alongside Rafael Nadal for 18 years as a co-coach. He later coached Matteo Berrettini between December 2023 and October 2024. He will arrive in Ohio as early as tomorrow to begin his collaboration with the current world No. 33.

As for the rest of her team, Raducanu will continue to seek advice from Mark Petchey, though he will remain at a distance to maintain his role as a television analyst.
