Rafter: "The Laver Cup is becoming one of the biggest tournaments of the year"

Against all odds, they silenced the skeptics. Led by a duo of legendary coaches, Team World pulled off a surprise by winning the 2025 Laver Cup.
There was no indication of such a turnaround. Deemed losers even before the competition started, plagued by several major withdrawals, and facing a European team led by Carlos Alcaraz, the Rest of the World team seemed destined for a tough week. Yet, they turned everything upside down.
Under the leadership of two tennis legends, André Agassi and Patrick Rafter, the group was able to turn adversity into a driving force to achieve a memorable success: "Many said we had no chance... but these boys gave it their all. It's one of the most memorable weeks of my life," said Agassi.
For his part, Rafter praised the competition created by Roger Federer: "I know it takes years to build a tradition, but we are on the verge of making this event one of the most important of the year. The organization is fantastic, and the experience has been wonderful."
