Refereeing - The end of linesmen on the ATP circuit?
It's a major development, and not necessarily a popular one in the world of men's professional tennis. From 2025, all tournaments on the ATP circuit (ATP 250, 500 and Masters 1000) will benefit from electronic refereeing, which cannot be contradicted by the referee.
As a result, referees will no longer be able to check ball marks on clay courts. It's a development that's likely to be the talk of the town.
