Roddick on Del Potro: "Without all his injuries, he would have had a career similar to Murray's."

Roddick on Del Potro: Without all his injuries, he would have had a career similar to Murray's.

Former world number 1 Andy Roddick doesn't shy away from any subject in his podcast.

Recently, the American returned to the career of Juan Martin Del Potro, winner of the 2009 US Open and who played his last match in Buenos Aires at the beginning of December against Novak Djokovic in an exhibition.

"Without all his injuries, he would have had a career similar to Murray's. He was so strong. He was so strong. He would have won more Grand Slams.

He's better than players like me. He could hit the ball any way he wanted, forehand or backhand.

He could beat the Big 3 playing his best tennis. Some of us need to be at 100% and benefit from a few blunders from Roger, Rafa and Novak.

He could dominate the rally with his forehand alone.

When his forehand was on point, it was the best shot on the court.

You could return a good ball and still feel like a fool watching it go past you on the next shot," he praised.
