Roland-Garros gave me a boost of energy, and the celebration helped clear my mind," says Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz secured his spot in the Queen's final by defeating his compatriot Robert Bautista-Agut, marking his 17th consecutive victory.
In the post-match press conference, the Spaniard discussed his current mindset: "Winning Roland Garros gave me a boost of energy. I had a few days to celebrate, and that helped clear my mind.
It was like turning a page and starting a new chapter here at Queen's. In these tournaments, you have to stay very focused, forget the past, be in the present, and live in the moment.
For me, Queen's is the most important thing right now. Other things are happening, but that's tennis—you have to keep working because the schedule is packed, and we play week after week.
I feel good and I'm enjoying myself on the court. I'm moving well, and the way I'm hitting the ball gives me a lot of confidence.
I think my current level is very high. I hope to be even better in the final tomorrow (Sunday).
