Rublev is disqualified after his leaden outburst in Dubai!

Rublev is disqualified after his leaden outburst in Dubai!

Andrey Rublev was disqualified this Friday in the semi-finals of the ATP 500 Dubai. He was trailing 6/5 to Bublik in the 3rd set after 2h19 of play. The Russian then verbally attacked a linesman with whose announcement he disagreed.

Rublev approached the linesman and shouted in English very close to his face: "How can you make such a mistake?! How!?". But it was apparently a phrase in Russian that escaped the microphones that was the main cause of his disqualification. Another linesman present around the court was a Russian speaker and came to report to the supervisor a very insulting phrase by Rublev towards his colleague.

I agree tennis is in the Stone Ages compared to other sports. It is a tier 3 sport and plundering on many levels unless they get their act together. He'll, maybe all the pros will play pickleball and tennis at the same time🤣. Have

Having said that, the childish moronic Rublev got what he deserved. Glad he was tossed and should have been. You just can't do that, and the example set by other weak minded infants on the tour should be dealt with the same way. Good riddance. 👍

I love tennis but some of these rules.... there's no need for linesman and chair umpires to mess up calls and ruin tournaments anymore. You would think one of the more popular 500 events would have Hawkeye doing the match. Do people realize how insane the challenge system is in tennis? Ur serving down break point and miss your first serve, your "conservative" 2nd serve lol gets destroyed and appears to be just long of the baseline and u manage to get it back over the net. U challenging or trying to continue the rally? Ur supposed to make that decision basically instantly so not only are u playing but ur trying to do Hawkeyes job on top of it! There's just no excuse for this to happen, there shouldn't be a line judge to yell at. The only reason there's still a chair umpire is to tell the players when the point is over. Besides that, tennis as a sport needs to realize some of their rules regarding "code and conduct" are an absolute joke and are hurting the sport. Should he have got in that guy's face? No. Did he have a right to be very angry and act like a human being who got screwed the first game of the match with multiple break points? Absolutely. U got players enduring an 11 month season, working their asses off everyday to make money and get points and u expect them to act like robots when u screw them over? I love tennis. It's great. But it could be even better with some simple rule changes and making Hawkeye mandatory everywhere. And while we're at it can we plz just get rid of these stupid ass net rules? If ur serving it's fine as long as it still lands in but when ur in a rally and it dribbles over, that's OK? Why are we rewarding the player thar should be losing the point? Any ball that hits the net, the point should be over. 100% fair. And it's something Hawkeye can also do, pretty sure neway.

If it's inaudible on any of the microphones and cameras, how can you trust some linesman who isn't Russian but who claims to have understood what rublev said? What a shame for tennis.

That's what he gets. We don't play that way in Mesopotamia.

I didn't know that Rublev had that kind of rough attitude/character, thanks to that he's still low-key as a tennis player earlier discovered how he was. I am not a fan of him, a Russian guy????
