Humbert: I played the perfect match!

Ugo Humbert produced some top-class tennis to pull off the feat of defeating Daniil Medvedev this Friday in the Dubai semi-finals. The day after saving 3 match points against Hubert Hurkacz, he continues his ascent to the top of the ATP rankings. The Frenchman was obviously delighted with his performance, as he told ATP immediately after his victory.

Humbert: "I played the perfect match today. One of the best of my career. Even if it's never easy to play against Daniil. But I was ready for a few long rallies (smile)."
