Rune furious with ATP after losing to Sinner in Monte Carlo!
Holger Rune is still reeling from his defeat by Jannik Sinner in Monte-Carlo. Beaten in three sets (6-4, 6-7, 6-3) at the end of a nervously tense match, the Dane is apparently still very angry. He took exception to a tweet from the ATP Tour account, which attached the phrase "May the force be with you Jannik Sinner" to a video clip of the match.
Rune made his displeasure known by publishing his response on Saturday: "What does that mean @atptour.....? You didn't give me the best conditions in the first place, making me play 2 matches the day before that ended late, leaving me almost no recovery time. The chair umpire made crucial mistakes and gave me unjustified warnings that disrupted the game. May the force be with you (puzzled smiley). My god."
