Rybakina and Raducanu Paired in Doubles at Washington Tournament, Venus Williams Also in the Draw
In Washington, the singles draw is highly competitive ahead of the two WTA 1000 events in North America. But the doubles draw, revealed late Saturday night, also held a few surprises.
Indeed, Elena Rybakina and Emma Raducanu, who will face Potapova or Mboko and Kostyuk respectively in singles, will team up and compete together in the doubles tournament.
The two former Grand Slam champions in their careers will face the No. 4 seeds in the first round, taking on the pair of Tereza Mihalikova and Olivia Nicholls.
It’s worth noting that Venus Williams, 45 years old and entered in singles, will also play doubles alongside Hailey Baptiste. The two American players will open their campaign against Eugenie Bouchard and Clervie Ngounoue. Find the full women's doubles draw below.
