Rybakina on Ivanisevic: "We'll see what the results are".
Elena Rybakina got her season off to a perfect start. Competing in the United Cup, the world number 6 carried her nation. Winning first her singles match and then the decisive doubles, alongside Alexander Shevchenko, Rybakina gave Kazakhstan a vital first victory in her group.
Having beaten the Spaniards, the Kazakhs will now take on the Greeks for a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Interviewed on court, Rybakina declared: "A very difficult match. The first match is always difficult. It's my first time at the United Cup in Perth. I'm very excited and happy.
Ivanisevic and I have been preparing for two weeks and we're still getting to know each other. We're working on everything. Little by little, we'll see the results."
