Rybakina unable to work with Vukov due to suspension
Elena Rybakina surprised everyone by announcing that Stefano Vukov would be returning to the team in 2025.
They had worked together for five years and parted company in August 2024.
However, this collaboration will not take place. The WTA has announced that it is investigating Vukov for breaches of the code of conduct.
He has been provisionally suspended from the WTA Tour.
He will therefore not be able to receive accreditation, which means no access to the training courts and the player's box.
Vukov, for his part, denies the accusations, details of which have not been disclosed.
It could be undesirable behavior on his part towards Rybakina, which had been reported by third parties beforehand.
Even if he is unable to obtain accreditation, it would appear that the coach still intends to travel to Australia to accompany his player.
