In the semifinals of the WTA 1000 Indian Wells, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka easily defeated American Madison Keys (6-0, 6-1), while Russian Mirra Andreeva triumphed over Polish player Iga Swiatek (7-6, 1-6, 6-3).
These results prompted a reaction from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He expressed his feelings on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
"Russia and Belarus have defeated Poland and the United States to reach the Indian Wells final. I am not happy. Guess why. But it’s just tennis, right?"
The final will take place tomorrow between Sabalenka and Andreeva.
