Aryna Sabalenka will have to wait a little longer before lifting the WTA Finals trophy, defeated in the final for the second time.

After 2022 and Caroline Garcia, it was Rybakina's turn to spoil the Belarusian's dreams. In great form during this tournament, the Kazakh player confirmed it in the final: victory 6-3, 7-6.

A painful defeat for Sabalenka, who spoke during the awards ceremony, addressing her team directly:

"I guess I'm getting older. I'm becoming really sensitive (laughs). Well, it's not the result we hoped for today, but there is so much we can be proud of.

For the record, Sabalenka has just suffered her 5th defeat of the season after Melbourne, Indian Wells, Stuttgart, and Roland-Garros.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
