Denis Shapovalov's 2024 season failed to live up to expectations. Hampered by both his physique and his tennis, the Canadian has never really managed to play a leading role. At least until this week!

Emerging from the qualifying rounds, the gifted 25-year-old went on to win the ATP 250 in Belgrade and set his sights on the 2025 season.

Speaking at the press conference, Shapovalov didn't hold back his pleasure: "It's a great feeling, a big step towards getting back to the top. I'm sure this week will help me a lot as I prepare for next year.

I played some incredible tennis. I need to work hard. I'd like to get back to the top. I really love Belgrade. I love playing here, it's a beautiful city. If there's another tournament here next year, I'll be back."

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
