Sharapova and Doncic: A $25 Million Star-to-Star Transaction

Maria Sharapova continues to shine off the court, having sold her Los Angeles villa to… Luka Doncic, Lakers superstar, for $25 million.

A former world No. 1 and winner of five Grand Slams, Sharapova ended her career in 2020 after two seasons spent climbing back up the rankings following her doping suspension in 2016. The Russian was recently inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame, receiving congratulations from, among others, her rival Serena Williams.

In addition to this recognition of her career, Sharapova continues to grow her fortune. This week, she sold her house in Los Angeles, more specifically in Manhattan Beach, for the sum of $25 million (approximately €21.3 million).

Bleacher Report broke the news, revealing that the buyer was none other than a very well-known athlete: Luka Doncic, a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA.
