Sinner, Fritz, Musetti, and Rune: Saturday, August 9 Schedule in Cincinnati

As the weekend begins, the second round of the Cincinnati Masters 1000 kicks off. The first sixteen men’s matches at this stage of the competition will take place throughout the day in Ohio.

On Center Court, in the second slot, Tommy Paul, who has been absent from the tour since Wimbledon due to a hip injury, makes his return against Pedro Martinez, followed by Jannik Sinner’s match. The defending champion will face Daniel Galan.

In the evening session, Taylor Fritz will play against Emilio Nava. Two men’s matches will take place on the Grandstand. Starting at 5:00 PM French time, Casper Ruud will face Arthur Rinderknech.

Later in the day, at 1:00 AM, Frances Tiafoe, last year’s finalist in Cincinnati, will begin his tournament with a match against Roberto Carballes Baena. On Court 3, Holger Rune will open the schedule against Roman Safiullin, followed by an exciting clash between Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and João Fonseca.

On the Champions Court, two men’s matches will start the day with Alex Michelsen vs. Corentin Moutet and Stefanos Tsitsipas vs. Fabian Marozsan. On Court 10, Lorenzo Musetti will take on a French player, Benjamin Bonzi.

Later in the day, another Franco-Italian matchup is scheduled between Terence Atmane and Flavio Cobolli. As for Court 4, there will be two Argentina vs. Canada duels: first between Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Félix Auger-Aliassime, then between Sebastian Baez and Gabriel Diallo.

On the last two courts, three final matches are on the menu, featuring two more French players: Tomas Machac vs. Adrian Mannarino, Coleman Wong vs. Ugo Humbert, and Zizou Bergs vs. Lorenzo Sonego.
