Sinner on Fritz: "I'll have to try and live up to it".
Jannik Sinner will attempt to win the Masters tournament for the first time in her career.
Already a finalist last year, the Italian will take to the court as the overwhelming favorite this Sunday. He'll be up against a Taylor Fritz against whom he hasn't lost a set since March 2023.
When asked about the forthcoming duel, the world number 1 nonetheless expects it to be a closely-fought affair. Agreeing with Fritz, who said he expected the match to be evenly balanced and down to the last detail, the world number 1 declared: "In my opinion, he played a very good match against me in the group phase.
The difference was just a few points. It'll be very similar in the final, so I'll have to be very attentive at all times. It'll be a very tricky match, especially as finals are always different. His level is very high and I'll have to try to live up to it on all points."
