On Friday, the group stages of the 2025 ATP Finals will officially conclude with the outcome of the Björn Borg Group, which will determine whether Zverev or Auger-Aliassime will join Sinner in the semifinals of the Turin Masters.

While the suspense is at its peak before the final day of the group stage in the other group, we already know the identity of the first player qualified for the semifinals of the 2025 Turin Masters, and it is the defending champion Jannik Sinner.

He will, in fact, open the singles schedule midday this Friday, November 14, against Ben Shelton in a match with no stakes, as the American, defeated in his first two matches, is already eliminated.

In the evening, Alexander Zverev and Félix Auger-Aliassime will face off and compete for the second ticket from this group to the semifinals. The winner will be qualified for the next round of the tournament regardless, and the other will be eliminated. In doubles, the day's matches will pit Harri Heliovaara/Henry Patten against Marcelo Arevalo/Mate Pavic and Joe Salisbury/Neal Skupski against Christian Harrison/Evan King.

Despite top-10 ATP rankings and consistent excellence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon never claimed a Grand Slam title, enduring mockery from French media amid Big 3 dominance. A deep dive into a talented generation defined by sky-high expectations and brutal competition.

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...
