Sinner wants to do better: "I have to change something".
Jannik Sinner kicks off his grass-court season this week in Halle. Having qualified for the quarter-finals, the new world number 1 hasn't always shone. Winning his first two matches in three sets, he hasn't always shone. Remaining solid on the important points, he takes on Jan-Lennard Struff, who defeated Tsitsipas (6-4, 6-4), this Friday.
Questioned in the press conference, the Transalpine looked back on his first two matches played on grass. Although he came out on top each time, Sinner showed himself to be a perfectionist, insisting in particular on his lack of efficiency on his second service ball: "First matches on grass are never easy, it's a very different surface to the others. Even if you win in two sets, it's not necessarily easy.
My first serve works very well, but on my second ball, it's sticking. I need to change something and maybe be more aggressive."
