Jannik Sinner claimed his 5th career title this season, defeating Frances Tiafoe 7-6, 6-2 in the Cincinatti final.

Confirming his status as number 1 in the world, the Transalpine doesn't seem to be really affected by the pressure usually felt by a player when he reaches the top of the world hierarchy.

With a very relaxed air, the 23-year-old prodigy declared: "What changes when you're No. 1 is that there's extra pressure around you.

But I don't feel any obligation to prove anything to anyone.

On the other hand, at every training session, I remain aware of what I have to work on, because I know that there are a lot of players who pose me problems.

Every morning, I get up wanting to be better, wanting to find solutions to those who get in my way on the court."

What's changes is that people let you off for cheating because they don't want a scandal from the number one tennis player. Why was his team having banned substances anywhere near you? It is complete nonsense.

Despite top-10 ATP rankings and consistent excellence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon never claimed a Grand Slam title, enduring mockery from French media amid Big 3 dominance. A deep dive into a talented generation defined by sky-high expectations and brutal competition.

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...
