Sinner: "Turning the page
Jannik Sinner had a rather special Tuesday.
Having just won the title in Cincinnati, he learned that he had been acquitted in the doping case he was facing.
Tested positive for the steroid closterbol in March at Indian Wells, Sinner won his case.
After appealing the case, it was proved that the substance had been unintentionally ingested into his body through the actions of one of his team doctors.
Despite being found innocent, the world number 1 was keen to speak out: "I will now turn the page on this difficult and deeply unfortunate period.
I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure that I continue to respect the ITIA anti-doping program and I have a team around me that is meticulous and works with respect."
