Sinner withdraws from Rotterdam tournament
Jannik Sinner has decided to withdraw from the ATP 500 Rotterdam, scheduled from February 3 to 9. The Italian was titleholder, citing the need for a break.
He said: "After consulting my team, we had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from the ABN AMRO Open.
My body needs time to rest after the long adventure in Australia.
I have very fond memories of my victory at the Rotterdam Ahoy last year in front of an incredible crowd, and I hope to return there soon.
I wish Richard (Krajicek, tournament director) and the whole team an excellent event."
As a result, Carlos Alcaraz will be seeded number 1.
