Small advantage for Djokovic before facing Alcaraz (3-2)
There's sure to be plenty of suspense in this final. In this eagerly-awaited clash, both protagonists look more than capable of winning. In this remake of last year's final, both Alcaraz and Djokovic will return to Center Court with the sole ambition of winning.
This duel will be the 6th in their rivalry and, for the moment, Djokovic has the edge (3-2).
In the Grand Slam, the two men are back to back, having each won once and lost once. The Serb won the semi-final at Roland Garros in 2023 (6-3, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1). The same year, Alcaraz took his revenge in the Wimbledon final (1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4).
On grass, this will of course be their second match after last year's final. As far as their last head-to-heads are concerned, the advantage is still with the current world No.2, as 'Nole' is still on a two-match winning streak. Firstly, in Cincinnati last year (5-7, 7-6, 7-6), then much more quietly at the ATP Finals in 2023 (6-3, 6-2).
In the light of this history, and although Alcaraz has already demonstrated his ability to counter Djokovic's game, the psychological advantage still seems to lie with the 37-year-old. To be confirmed.
