"Some posts seem too real when they're completely fake," Rune criticizes parody accounts on social media

Social media has taken on a significant role in the world of tennis. While this development can be positive for some, it’s less so for others. Indeed, Holger Rune recently called out certain accounts specializing in spreading false information about tour news. This situation has sparked criticism, to which the player in question felt compelled to respond:
"I like jokes and I like to have fun. But sometimes it becomes a bit too real in a way, even though it's fake. That's when I think it's unnecessary. Obviously, it's hard to control the entire internet!
I think some posts that seem too real when they're completely fake aren’t cool. It’s also a bit provocative, but I guess everyone can do what they want," he said in an interview shared by *Tennis Up To Date*.
On the sporting side, the Dane is currently in Ohio to compete in the Cincinnati Masters 1000. Having qualified for the round of 16, he will face American Tiafoe.
