Stats - Brooksby Becomes the 3rd Lowest-Ranked Player to Win an ATP Tournament

Jenson Brooksby won the ATP 250 tournament in Houston this Sunday by defeating Frances Tiafoe. A long journey for the American, who had started eight days earlier in the qualifying rounds.
The American had missed two years of competition, between 2023 and 2025, due to a wrist injury and a suspension for missing three anti-doping tests in 12 months.
But Brooksby is back with this impressive victory in Houston, which allows him to climb 335 spots in the rankings, reaching world No. 172 this Monday.
At the time of the American tournament, Brooksby was ranked 507th, making him the 3rd lowest-ranked player to win an ATP tournament.
The top two in this ranking are Marin Čilić (777th when he won the Hangzhou tournament in September 2024) and Lleyton Hewitt (550th when he won the Adelaide tournament in January 1998 at just 16 years old).
